minutes from Colombo, Sri Lanka, GOKULAM Children's Home is
the perfect haven for destitute and orphaned children. The
home serves as a benchmark for service organization around
the country. Its quality driven comprehensive care is a
demonstration of the high standards other organization
strives to attain. There are 115 children sheltered at the
Home and of them 35 are affected by the Tsunami.

Whats New?
10th Anniversary Celebration at Gokulam
The 10th anniversary was celebrated grandly on the 4th July
2009. The Chief Guests of the Event were Mrs. Santhy
Navakarasan, the Director of Hindu Religious department,
and Ms. Jagarajasingam, Secretary of the Social Development
Ministry.

The prize giving for the children was also conducted on this
day.
The Interhouse Sportsmeet was conducted at the Gokulam
Children's Home for the first time from the 23rd - 25th May
2009. The children participated in events such as March Past,
Relays, Running races, Long jump, high jump, drill etc.
